Biographie

Marisa´s entire life is about arts. Born and raised in Ibbenbueren, Westfalia, Marisa early discovered her love for art which has been supported strongly by her family. Under the striking influence of her grandmother, the internationally recognized artist and graphic artist Siegrid Stefanow (Link zu Bio), who taught her not only in painting but also intelectually in the dimensions of literature.

So she began with classical Ballett at the age of 5 (http://www.dance-academy-muenster.de/ und http://www.claudine-merkel.de/)  and at the age of 7 she started to get piano lessons and a bit later also flute.

With great excitement she repeadedly took part in school theatre productions and sang also in choirs as well as in bands. She decided early that she also wanted to follow the artistic way as a professional living.

First, she started to work behind the camera and absolved several apprenticeships focusing on direction in TV and Film in Cologne, such as VOX TV (production, „auto, motor, sport tv“, „fit for fun tv“), RTL (Guten Abend RTL), MMC and the city theatre Osnabrueck.

She was a directors assistant and helped to develop the concept for the short film „God´s Place“, supported by the fff and ARRI (Eidolon Entertainment). The short made it to the Festival Internacional du Film in Cannes.

Afterwards, Marisa wanted to return to the stage and got approved after the entering audition at the Bavarian Theatre Academy „August Everding“ (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München http://www.theaterakademie.de/de/zur_theaterakademie.html ) in Munich. In 2006 she got her Diploma for Performing Arts in Musical Theatre. During her studies she acted for a year in the role of Carla Schulze in the ZDF TV-Soap „Bravo TV Story“ and furthermore played the strident part of  Cinderella´s Stepmom in the Sonheim Musical „Into the Woods“. As her Diploma exam she had devoloped the One-Woman-Show „Take away what I have danced-Quítame lo bailado“ and brought successfully on stage.

Right after her graduation she got a job due to her performance in her Diploma-Show as the comedic part of„Erma“ in the Cole Porter Musical „Anything Goes!“.

Following-up were engagements at State Theatre Salzburg (http://www.salzburger-landestheater.at/de/start/index.html )where she acted as Soulgirl Chrystal in Menken´s „Little Shop of Horrors“ and as a „Too darn hot“-Girl in Porter´s „Kiss me Kate“ at Theater Moenchengladbach (http://www.theater-kr-mg.de/ ).

Perseveratively, Marisa returned to filmmaking, but more as an actress. She played main characters in several short films (such as „The cold buffet“, FH Salzburg).

She also wrote, co-composed and co-directed the play „All for two- Two for all“together with super-talented pianist, singer and composer Guzel Zhamykanova at the Kazakh Consulate in Munich unter the friendly courtesy of consul Reinhold Kraemmel. In the same team, they developed the Gangster-Musical „Dana&Mel“ and celebrated its concertant premiere on stage of the Ludwig Thoma-Theatre in Munich only 14 days later! A totally crazy Impro-Project with 6 sold-out presentations.

In Munich, Marisa could let her love for brazilian Bossa Nova Music bloom with the Band „Made in Brazil“ under which she performed as a lead singer. Through the bossa and samba scene in Munich, she got to know Geraldo Mueller and Gisele da Silva (http://www.dobrasil-tanzstudio.de )and Geraldo engaged her for his project Drums and Dreams as a singer and artist (http://www.dreams-and-drums.com ). With Gisele, she still performs in brazilian dance shows until today (http://www.gisele-brasil.com/htm/show.htm).

Because of a gig as a backround singer for Eric Brodka&Band at „The Long Night of Music in Munich“, she got to know

producer Klaus Sperber. They decided to produce an album together: Marisa´s Debut. Her first Single „If you were mine“ was published in April 2010 under the Label MusicJustMusic on iTunes ((http://itunes.apple.com/de/album/if-you-were-mine-single/id429641808 ).

Since fall 2009, Marisa has performed on the big stages of Aida Cruises. She can live out/ausleben her diversity as a singer and performer and has developed another One-Woman-Show called „Música do meu coração-Music from my heart“, a potpourri of brazilian and Marisa´s own music.

After Aida Cruises, she returned to Munich. She is teaching singing and founded the Bossa Nova Trio called „Marisa&The Kings of Jeitinho“ together with Drummer and Percussionist Geraldo Mueller and Gitarrist Silvio Fortes, both from Porto Alegre. Through this she can live her affection for her heart-music Bossa Nova and brazilian and spanisch Popmusic. Furthermore she has become the new lead singer of „Stefan F.Huber&Jazzbirds“ whose album „Elisation“ has been published with Marisa´s voice under BSC Music (http://www.amazon.de/Elisation-Stefan-F-Huber-Jazzbirds/dp/B00FJ2E9OC )

Marisa has extended her short soloprogramme to an evening-enchanting One-Woman-Show which has premiered at „Living Sprachen Kultur-und Sprachzentrum“ by Iani Haniotis (http://www.living-sprachen.com/kultur-und-freizeit/ )in February 2012. Herein, primed by projections of her grandmothers paintings and graphics and some of her own art, she tells her family´s story, starting in 1952(???) when her grandparents emigrated to Brazil by ship until today. (Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UmqlGEUn48 )

2013, she again became a soloist and dancer on a cruisship, but this time as a memeber of „Phase7 performing arts Berlin“( http://www.phase7.de/index_1.html ) and spent 5 months on Hapag Lloyd´s luxury cruise liner „MV Europa 2“.

Back home she is facing many exciting new projects such as new Gigs with her Band and songwriting projects (Newslink), such as shows at Cabaret Lebenslust (http://www.cabaret-lebenslust.de/ ) and shootings for TV and film.
